Talk shite, pressing is not a ability or a special skill.. it's something you can be taught & perfect with training. I don't think Ashley comes close to certain goat full backs but he's certainly way better than Robertson. Ashley Cole would have easily learnt to press or w/e, same for other goat footballers… they would easily do tiki taka, press or w/e.
Goat players did not rely on systems to buff their abilities, they could shine in any situation or style. That''s the difference.

Dennis Irwin is the greatest left back to ever do it in the Premier League. Cole and Robertson brilliant players but Irwin was Mr. Consistent. Great penalty and free kick taker. Never made a mistake. Solid 8/9 out of 10 weekly. Also won the treble. Amazed these muppets did not even mention him
Dani is arguably the greatest RB of all time
This pairing is miles ahead of anyone in England, 3 UCL finals in 4 years and many domestic trophies. Just no world cup success though.

This issue regarding Trent’s defense makes no sense.
Just like how they say Ashley cole could be more offensive and get goals/assists if that was required by him. Same goes for Trent. It’s Klopp’s system and it sometimes has Trent exposed defensively. That’s the trade off. If Trent is asked to be defensive he can do that job. Many big games Trent stepped up defensively against the best offensive talent.

Trent gets the plaudits because he's English.
Robertson's form never really drops. Even in 20/21, when others were poor at the back, he was still brilliant defensively. At the start of the season, he has 7 assists already.
He's fantastic 1v1, good in the air, positionally great and his awareness is second to none in terms of full backs.
I'm not a Liverpool fan but if I had the choice between Robertson or Trent, I'd take Robertson every single time.
When Robertson is playing well, the English pundits say "the full backs are playing well" if Trent is playing well "Trent is brilliant".
This video proves it, the video is talking about how good Robertson is and the conversation turns to how well Trent is. When the fact is, Trent has been absolutely horrendous this season and none of the full backs mentioned has ever played as bad as he has this season.

Our Robbo is such unsung hero in my eyes He may be Scottish, but he's one of our own and gets it.
Robbo reminds me of Alan Kennedy (Barny Rubble), more for his attitude and tenacity. The Lad is a fantastic all round player.
Also if Trent was any nationality he would be a starter Internationally.

It's very difficult to compare one player to another as for me Robertson has been superbly impressed for the past seasons. Trent and Robertson have evolved and revolutionized the full back in the modern game. In terms of playing different roles and performing outside their norm. Robertson has been incredible, terrifies players and a fighter in the Liverpool squad. 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥👌🏾
Trent and Robbo really have made a name for themselves.
