Wales took on Iran on Friday in Group B at the Al-Rayyan Stadium at the Qatar World Cup
Iran made the more positive start and found the back of the net in the 16th minute through Ali Gholizadeh but it was ruled offside by VAR
Wales were not clicking in the attacking third in the first-half as they failed to convert many chances
Iran hit both posts within the space of seconds, five minutes into the second period and remained the better side
With four minutes of normal time to go, Wayne Hennessey picked up the first red card of the game after his challenge on Mehdi Taremi
Referee, Mario Escobar, gave a yellow card for the challenge but VAR called him to the monitor and the final decision saw the Welshman off
Iran took the one-man advantage and scored through Roozbeh Cheshmi in the 90+9′ with an incredible strike from distance
It looked as though that would be it, but another charging force from Iran saw another late goal by Ramin Rezaeian in the 90+11′ to finish Wales off

The Islamic Republic's team should have been banned. This barbaric regime's thugs just killed a 9 year old boy and started gasing campaign on Iranian people. Since the revolution which started 2 months ago over 6000 people have been massacred and yet, the FIFA has audacity to let this team play. It is like allowing Germany during the implementation of final solution to participate in Olympic. Shame on FIFA and many greeting to those young revolutionary kids of Iran fighting to over throw this barbaric regime
