We shouldn‘t care about potential, moneyball or whatever. We only need a proper finisher. Whoever plays in this team WILL get chances! It only needs finishing and that striker will look world class.
I think we essentially do have a bottomless pit of money to spend…so long as we sell well. If we can get a high transfer fee for Nunez from Saudi, and we sell some peripheral players, and you add that to the fact we didn't spend at all last year (I hate having to keep saying "except for Chiesa" haha), then I think we'll have an awful lot of money to spend.
Ramos sounds more like the striker I can see Slot moulding into what he wants. Similar to the Mexican striker he had at Feyenoord. Decent price too.

I would be over the moon if we got him and Ekitike and probably sold Diaz.
No chance. Full stop… a French flop? Nah.. he’s not gonna unlike like Ekitike from a bigger move. He needs a more moderate top club in a top league that will give him the time he needs.
If we needed a Jota replacement, for real real cheap? Sure. But then we gotta start money balling the Chiesa’s outward for a profit too. Which I think is still likely to happen, depending on clear out sales moving fast enough in and out or not.
I’m worried Chelsea is gonna just downs the mo way to get one over on us. And to add to their chasm of a squad. He’d be one of three strikers at Chelsea. Hoping they just nab Gyokeres and he flops for 80m.
The other thing is, if we buy Ramos, it’d be more likely that PSG usurp us to Ekitike. I wouldn’t put it past them to try and bring him back next seaosn at his development rate.
I really want Ekitike. He’s got such a wide range of skills that he can do top notch. Moves, creates, scores, assists, etc. He’ll need some luxury of time to come into what I think can be the next meta Stilre in the EPL in a team like Slot is building. I’d love Alvarez too. But he’s less likely at this point and his only draw back would be his height, we know he can play in the EPL at the highest level otherwise. And he’s a perfect false nine style in our system.
