Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said Tuesday his main goal for next season is to ‘win the first game’.
Amorim was speaking at a kickoff press conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for United’s weeklong Tour of Asia.
The Reds will face the ASEAN All Stars on Wednesday in the Malaysian capital before finishing out their trio with a match against the Hong Kong national team in Hong Kong.
After a disappointing first season at the helm, Amorim said he will be shooting for a “small target” at first as the club looks to rebound from its worst finish in the Premier League era.
He said the club has “a lot of work to do” in the offseason, but he is excited for his second year at Old Trafford.

I love Bruno & want him to stay but for £100m that's too good an offer to refuse. From a financial perspective it makes total sense to cash in as then it'll allow us to completely overhaul our midfield that'll benefit us in the long term. That's what many folk aren't grasping

let alone mount the so called biggest player in the team by Fernandes can not hold the ball properly most of the time, his shots passes and vision are one of the best in the world but not upto scratch at times which shows his inconsistencies. the only senior players which can help if they stay for amorim style of play is probably Him and Maguire. Any top club style of play in this AI age for that matter requires top players who can hold the ball properly for a longer time without losing it recklessly, including the goalkeeper. man utd have only Amad in that profile, Maguire is better than almost all the others……..its an enormous task to sell the high number of senior players there and start working with the youngsters. But they need to start from the likes of Mason mount, victor lindelof, deligt……….its hard to count😢
