VILLA BLOW IT AT OLD TRAFFORD AGAIN 😤 | Manchester United 2-0 Aston Villa | Premier League Match Review

Aston Villa’s Champions League hopes took a massive hit as they fell to a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford. In this video, we break down exactly what went wrong for Unai Emery’s side, analyse the key moments, and ask why Villa continue to struggle away to Man Utd in such crucial fixtures.

Despite high stakes and strong build-up, Villa never really got going. Defensive lapses, a lack of creativity, and wasted chances cost them dearly—again—on one of the biggest stages. With players like Ollie Watkins, Marco Asensio, Morgan Rogers, and Emi Martinez, expectations were high, but the performance fell flat when it mattered most.

  1. I am fuming guys. Alot of these players were not interested. my hunch is some of those players are looking for an escape route. I think Rogers, Kamara and Watkins are looking for a move.
Mings should of started, Maatsen was the wrong choice, we needed a solid defence. Digne shoudl of been starting.

So much ball watching and weak tackles. Why was Emery taking off Asesnsio when Martinez got sent off? he was the only one who looked dangerous.
Onana was playing better than Kamara.

Martinez, Olsen, Bailey, Rogers, Watkins, Kamara, Hause and Digne will be gone.

  2. I think before the Palace game something has kicked off in the dressing room, because in all the big games Emery has made strange subs, selections and many players are pissed.

  3. Whats worse is the refree has now come out and said he made an error. VAR should over rule any mistakes wether these pathetic rules say the whistle is blown before etc.

  4. Morgan Rogers got young player of the season, England call up and lauded by the media, personally I think he’s been Joe Average since Christmas in general.

  5. This was the perfect storm. Poor play, poor decision making and poor officiating. 33 years of PL history againt manchester United distilled into 90 minutes of football.

  6. Yesterday really hasn’t helped my cause for the debate 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣

    Poor across the board!

Think the inquest for me of the season needs to be how we set up away from home.

I just don’t think we have the personnel to sit off teams and grow into the game.

We don’t defend our box well at all and are not equipped to do what Forest do for example.

40 points at home is outstanding but away is where you can make the difference.

Will take a while to get over this, but for perspective I think I would have seen sixth and a deep run in the CL as a respectable season before a ball was kicked.

  7. The problem is Emery wont change he is so stubborn it was obvious after 20 minutes we needed width. Forget the ref or its united Them players didnt leave everything on the pitch thats what i cant forgive

  8. We are never going to win shit with a mid-table, Brentford level striker like Wally Otkins who I'm sorry to say, misses way way more than any other striker in the Prem!!
It also seems like Ollie would rather take a dive and try to con/win a foul/free kick/pen than you know, take a shot on and score a goal… If you can't be hungry, in gane 38, for CL, against the worst performing Manky Unitard side, then maybe you should pop off to 2nd best losers Arsenal

  9. So pleased I had friends round yesterday to take the edge off it! I’m speechless at the ref, Emi and the fact we can’t show up against a poor manure side – wtf! 🤦🏼‍♀️
