i’ve been raving about him for years, and there was no better feeling then telling everyone about this guy (even in the euros average people didn’t know him) and he goes and pulls off performances like those, id love him at city, he’s an unreal player
A few questions: • Can he play with his feet? • What’s his passing range? • Does he have the pace and reading ability to pounce on errant balls in the defensive half and track back on long balls from the third?
Since I haven’t seen him outside of the national team and his performances there haven’t been illustrative of these key points, he is likely not interesting too clubs simply because those attributes on top of shot stoping are key to being brought in into any tio flight project. If he has ever looked even moderately uncomfortable with his feet, distribution and covering his half to help keep the pressure on the opposition by overloading the attacking half, big clubs just won’t budge.
He’s made some bad errors when Porto have played big teams which hasn’t helped. I remember a few clangers against Man Utd recently and bad games against Liverpool
