No, we should not sell Ibou. His form might have dropped a little after his injury, but before December, he was the best center-back in the world. I know it might upset some people, but Ibou is currently a better defender than Virgil.
We often talk about Robbo having a bad season, which he has by his standards, but I’d argue that some of the goals we’ve conceded are due to Virgil being lazy. Take the Saka goal earlier this season—Gary Neville (and I don’t like him either) was right when he said Robbo should never have been put in that position. That happened because Virgil doesn’t hold his line anymore.
Sometimes Virgil gets a free pass because of his reputation, but he’s not as good in 1v1 situations anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I love Virgil, but we really need at least one more center-back to partner with Ibou. Virgil is still the best in the air and at clearances with his touch, but his movement against attackers just isn’t what it used to be.

They should if they don't sign him, but they can only sell him if Konate agrees right? So I guess if Real Madrid is really telling him to run his contract and he is determined to go there there's not a whole lot Liverpool can do.

Genuinely I really want him to stay if not for the fact he’s an elite CB alongside VVD, but the fact if you watch any of the social media content with Liverpool he is such a positive personality in the dressing room and they all seem to love him
