Morocco’s World Cup heroes were given a royal welcome home on Tuesday when they were met by King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Rabat after their historic tournament in Qatar.
The players and coach Walid Regragui were given Order of the Throne Wissams to mark their achievement in becoming the first African – and Arab – nation to reach the semi-finals at a World Cup.
Mothers of the players were also invited at the gathering which followed a huge welcome parade through the streets of Rabat from thousands of fans.

Amongst the Muslim majority countries the one I respect most includes Morocco. I see in it Islam and modernity fitting well into each other. It may not be perfect but their no perfect Muslim community any where. I rather live in such Muslim country instead of a country full of ultra extremist ready to blow up everything to promote their ideology.

I suppose they are of Maliki sect where no problem in contacts between men and women as long as non-lust. Some commented herein are perhaps of Hanafi, Shafiโe and Hanbali sects. These sects may differ from one other but the Imams advocate Respect towards each otherโs view of which they deemed as valid amongst the Sunnis ๐
