I definitely wouldn’t mind him staying, but I think we really need to sign another CAM who he will have to compete with for starts. Jule has a lot of quality, but consistency has always been an issue and he is streaky. I’m really glad his form has been recovering these past few games, but we were in a pretty bad state when it was poor and we continued to rely on him. If we get some depth for the position and he is comfortable staying and competing for play, then I think that’d be great.

Unless we fail to find a replacement during the summer, sell him and get what we can for him while his value is still high.

I think he’s a good dude and a solid player overall, but our creative fulcrum can’t be so streaky. When he’s off, he absolutely nukes our offensive output.

Player who loves the club and has been here longer than I’m pretty sure almost every other player unless I’m forgetting someone.

You can see in our last few games how much better we are when Brandt is confident and on his game, this new system is now fitting him perfectly and hes limiting his mistakes but he also busts his ass every game. Typically has the most sprints in our team.

I would love to see him continue with adding another CAM to compete with, makes sure he has proper rest and a reason to fight for his spot.

He is the type of player that works well when the rest of the team feels his vibes. When the team is not performing well neither will he. Brandt seems like a good bloke and his teammates love him afaik in those training videos. Hope he stays.

  5. If we prep for him to not be a full time starter and more a rotation and depth piece at a cheaper price sure. But I’m not getting fooled by a yet again small but good form run at the end of the season to then suck most of the year next season

I would keep him despite his periods of weak play. We can give him another 3 years or so and he’s just a solid guy to have in your squad that doesn’t cost the world (especially no fee) and when he is in form then he’s really goddamn good. Ofc he rides the high of team but when he does, he also makes the team even better. And when the team stinks, boy he makes it worse for sure. That’s just the trade-off.

  7. If he stays he should sign a 1 year continuation on his contract. If he cooks we could get at least some money for it. We can’t afford him being at the top of his game and then lose him for free.
