What a class act. I can’t believe the amount of people who wanted him and still want him gone. I don’t get the fixation on needing a scape goat.

He’s top ten in big chances created from open plan in Europe and is fielding 14 scorer points in an off season.

It was so obvious that he was overplayed. The guy had no backup 10 to replace him. Happy to see him regaining his form and hope we get the reinforcements to support him in the off season.

  2. Despite my criticisms of Brandt’s performances on numerous occasions this season, his composure to them has been nothing but professional and highlights his resilience as a person. I think he’ll thrive better in a low profile role where he can focus on the intricacies of his touches and passing; I suspect the limelight was too much of a distraction for him and faltered his confidence at many points this season

Wish him all the best whether he stays with us or goes somewhere else 💛🖤

  3. I love Jule, no secret about that. I was over the moon when we signed him. Does he have bouts of inconsistency? Yeah. Do all flair players? Yeah. But does my boy also have bouts of being absolutely brilliant and damn near untouchable? Yeah.

I hope he stays, I think he can flourish under Kovac. He’s been overplayed and looked lost trying to play in a team in complete disarray. Now that we are seeing the team gel under Kovac as he has implemented his system we are seeing Jule regain some form. We owe him a chance to work through this. We aren’t going to find/afford a replacement who is better than an in-form Julian Brandt.

  4. Zero accountability. He wasn’t unfairly singled out, he was rightfully criticized for bad and lazy performances prior to our strong finish.

  5. I still want Cherki but if Brandt can bring back his 2023 form then he can stay

  6. How is that your interpretation of what he said? He said that other people have come to him and told him it was harsh / unjustified, but then said that he personally does not care whether he is made to be the focal point of fan frustrations

He’s the right player for this club, we shouldn’t even think about selling him and I will die on this hill if I need to

Shows how strong his character is, to not mind if he’s a lightning rod for criticism of the team.

Happy for him to keep showing his class on the pitch.

This is really brave of him. Even if I’ve been critical of him this year, this is really a brave act from Brandt. Fair play to the guy. This is real leader behaviour.

That’s a classy answer, respect. I’m really pleased with how he has turned things around in the last few games. I stand by my frustration and criticism of his performances during a big stretch of this season, but the club was doing him very few favors by leaving him floundering on the pitch for months until things started to improve. I have always respected him off the pitch, and I am glad that he has been able to get back into better form recently. Whether he remains at the club or goes off in the summer, I wish him the best, and I hope he is able to play with the kind of quality that he is capable of.

  11. Only fickle fans clowned on him. Real fans know how good peak Brandt was last couple of seasons. He will bounce back, form is temporary, class is permanent!

  12. There’s a player in there but starting him every single game with no rest or competition doesn’t help bring it out. Even if we don’t sell him I want a starting #10 brought in to at the very least challenge him for his starting spot
