      I was just wondering the other night, when Chelsea dropped the video from their season end award ceremony, why Zecira looked like she was trying to avoid the cameras, the only one not beaming for a mug shot. But of course it was already done by then. She is a warrior, and in every other club she would have been the obvious number one. But she chose to stay and fight it out in Chelsea, year after year. That way Chelsea were able to keep two number ones in the roster for several seasons, a luxury no other team has afforded themselves.

      On a personal level she declared months ago that she would probably have to leave the club this summer. But after the news of her pregnancy she admitted she would probably have to stay, that the timing was as poor as it gets. So, it likely wasn't her decision after all – (her contract expires this summer). Meanwhile her best friend, Amanda Ilestedt, is back on the Arsenal bench after her pregnancy. Granted, Amanda probably didn't have an expiring contract. But it is an indication that Chelsea are looking elsewhere for Hanna Hampton's main sparring partner. For me though, Chelsea's inability/unwillingness to fully unlock and enjoy Zecira's undeniable potential, as glimpsed in Sweden's famed game of 16 against the US in the last World Cup, is one of their few but greatest failures. It's just one of those things.
