  1. We are only 2nd to Liverpool in big chances created this season, proof we need a better striker, for me Watkins needs moving on in the summer

  2. Tielemans is playing deeper than he would like to play, but is still our most consistent player this season. He plays off the double pivot with bouba as the more attacking player as he is a better offensive player, bouba is the enforcer but is very talented at reading the game. Both have football intelligence! I love mcginns contribution to our team but i feel we need an upgrade on him going forward for next year. Also, i hope ollie can get one more goal so he can leave in the summer with the record and we can go and get a young hungry striker to mould. I like wissa or even go back in for sarr

  3. Konsa always dwells he needs to many touches. Watkins has gone in his head. Thought Maatsan made us look more balanced

  4. Fury Tielemans. A niece piece on our Belgian superstar. You can see why Leicester went on such a good run a few seasons back. Best of luck with the bubba and you all mate. You're a Walsall lad. My family are from Bloxwich. UTV

  5. Absolutely love him and you're right, definitely our best CM and 1 of the best in the league, can't believe we got him on a free, those Leicester fans that wrote him off must b fuming ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm so glad I got him on the 3rd shirt as I absolutely love that shirt aswel

  6. I honestly think Youri is our most important player (yeah above Rogers/Kamara/Emi/SJM). He's just so versatile and changes games and is consistent AF. A proper quarterback.

  7. Youri this season best midfielder in premier league this season thereโ€™s always the best player will have a off game and his was at Wembley and his attributes and attitude world class

  8. Only thing that worried me was the changes were counterproductive we list our shape and impetuous to go forward. After last weekend you could see some improvement but at the same time we made costly mistakes still that the fulham players didn't score from.
It is obvious now, who need replacing and who we need to progress.

  9. Tielemans was excellent in all aspects of the game yesterday, topped off the performance with a goal, probably should score a few more with his long range shooting ability.
Good point about the differences between Bouba and Youri and how as a pair they balance out providing a good combination in the middle of the park.
Watkins has to do better with some of these chances.
Really tough game next week at Bournemouth, we have to be at our very best to win there.
I'll be at the youth Cup final on Monday also, hope they win. UTV

  10. Oli hasn't mentally been right all season. Forget this "never had a pre season" rubbish. Mentally he's not focused, threw his toys out pram when we had duran, same when we had Rashford. Oli hates competition but to compete we need that in every position. Apart from running chanel he's not impressed me at all this season. Last season was a one off let's be honest. In his mind he's left and I tell you now UE and Monchi will sell in the summer! 100%

  11. Tactical error from you Luke having your missus expecting during the football season! Need to come up with a better gameplan next time! ๐Ÿ˜‚All the best UTV

  12. Totally agree Youri was yesterday and is the Rolls Royce of our team. Did think Matty cash did some good defensive work in parts and I really like Maatsen. 3 points …amazing, bring on European footy again!

As a midwife in Yorkshire Luke I just want to say to your partner and yourself, good luck. Special times are just ahead xx

  13. You leave your Misses alone till Septemberโ€ฆ.So
โ€œAnother oneโ€ can be born in July during off season ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚โ€ฆUTV Bud.

  14. Youri leaves everything on the pitch & you can clearly see that he's fully bought in to the process going on at the Villa, he's taking his role seriously, player of the season 100%. Big shout out for Ian Maatsen who was fantastic again & will surely nail down the LB position moving forward….UTFV!!!

  15. For me Emi Martinez should be our next captain with the WC experience, Tielemans vice, but him and Onana are DEFINITELY future captains, not just because of their maturity and captain qualities but being able to speak multiple languages is important too. Tielemans SUCH A PLAYER, easily player of the season, if Nypan is meant to deputize him he has HUGE shoes to fill. And I think Maatsen is clear of Digne now.
Also Luke have you seen the Cristian Mosquera links?? Looks like a PERFECT Unai Emery player to eventually come in for Konsa, hope we get more quality links like this rather than the silly season departures

  16. Well done Villa. We have a positive feeling about the end of the season. On a research note, after years of research scientists have just translated what Tarzan has been yelling from the tree tops all these years and you've guessed it! He has been yelling " UP THE VILLA, UP THE VILLA!" In reply the lions and elephants roar and trumpet back 'UP THE VILLA, UP THE VILLA!" ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜ƒ

  17. Here's a chat GPT breakdown of how we can secure European football in 7th place ๐Ÿ˜Š

As of May 4, 2025, following the completion of this weekend's Premier League fixtures, Aston Villa remain in 7th place with 60 points from 35 matches. They are level on points with 6th-placed Nottingham Forest, who have a game in hand, and 5th-placed Chelsea, who have also played 35 matches.

๐Ÿ† Premier League Standings (Top 7)

Aston Villa's recent 1-0 victory over Fulham, secured by a 12th-minute header from Youri Tielemans, has kept them firmly in contention for European qualification.

    ๐Ÿ”œ Aston Villa's Remaining Fixtures

May 10: Away vs. Bournemouth (8th)

May 18: Home vs. Tottenham Hotspur (16th)

May 25: Away vs. Manchester United (15th)

With three matches left, Aston Villa can accumulate a maximum of 69 points. Their final league position will depend on their own results and those of Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.

    ๐ŸŒ European Qualification Outlook

The Premier League has secured five spots in next season's UEFA Champions League. The 6th-placed team is set to qualify for the UEFA Europa League. The 7th-placed team's European qualification depends on specific scenarios:

If Manchester City win the FA Cup and finish in the top five: The Europa League spot allocated to the FA Cup winners would transfer to the 6th-placed team, and the 7th-placed team would qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League.

If Crystal Palace win the FA Cup and finish outside the top five: They would take the Europa League spot, and the 7th-placed team would not qualify for European competition.

If Newcastle United, who have won the Carabao Cup, finish in the top five: Their Conference League spot would transfer to the next highest-placed team not already qualified for Europe, potentially benefiting the 7th-placed team.

Therefore, Aston Villa's qualification for European competition by finishing 7th is contingent upon the outcomes of the FA Cup final and Newcastle United's final league position. The most favorable scenario for Villa involves Manchester City winning the FA Cup and both City and Newcastle finishing in the top five, which would likely secure Villa a spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Securing victories in their remaining fixtures will be crucial for Aston Villa to maximize their chances of European qualification.

  18. Mings when he was selected for England became casual and believed his own hype, Konsaโ€™s showing similar lately, maybe itโ€™s the same for Watkins, less hungry? Do we really want him to go to a rival? Heโ€™s a machine, helps the team and it was Sky who pressed him repeatedly about being left on the bench. Whatโ€™s he supposed to say to that question, yes he misses chances but itโ€™s the same with Rogers and he gets a free pass. Asensio ainโ€™t pulling up trees but starting games when heโ€™s better as an impact player. As for Tielemans, so so good to watch his play, heโ€™s our most important player IMO.
