  1. Well said Pep, it's not acceptable that a professional footballer is overweight mid season, especially one who has yet to impress and establish himself in the squad/team. Make him train alone, embarrass him for his bad attitude and let it nowhere near the squad, don't want a laize fayre attitude infecting and Champions squad.

  2. How does a player in a world cup squad of a major football team get overweight coming back…? This is very damning. Nobody was watching his food? What happened to the organization, controls & management of diet? Kalvin must be at least several pounds overweight for Pep to be this irritated enough to be so direct in his response. This muppet was brought in to replace the great Fernandinho. What the heck is this?

  3. How to know the player has lost it? -He is overweight. Clubs should be allow to punish the player and violate the contract for overweight players. Its only fair.

  4. Peps job is to make sure city's players are prepared to perform the job city pay them a lot of money to do ! If he thinks they are not he has every right to say so ! When you are payed to do a job it's not unreasonable to ask you show up ready !

  5. Possibly Philips doesn't have a clue how to play the pep style and he's going to be in the transfer list
And Philips made easy for pep

  6. I can understand Pep's frustration. If Kalvin Phillips didn't get time then the heat would fall on Pep when it was completely Phillips fault. Such is the life of a Manager. And what sort of fool asks whether or not its the player's responsibility? Of course its the players responsibility. You already got the nugget you wanted, the nugget you likely weren't expecting, and then you got greedy and asked a stupid question.

  7. Never will England win a world cup, overrated paid primadonnas with big plastic lip wags for partners who also do them no favours.

  8. Why are people blaming the England camp? The player knows what he's putting in his body and he knows how much training he's doing.
More likely, Calvin has just come back from a lengthy injury and was never really fit enough to be at the world cup in the first place.
