    Tottenham midfielder James Maddison insists the team are “100 per cent behind” boss Ange Postecoglou despite their “unacceptable” Premier League season.

    Spurs sit a lowly 16th in the Premier League table after suffering a 19th league defeat of the season on Sunday, following a heavy 5-1 loss at newly-crowned champions Liverpool.

    But despite their domestic form, Tottenham still have a chance to win the Europa League, which would end their 17-year trophy drought and give them a place in next season’s Champions League.

      An an NUFC fan I felt the same about Howe after we finished 8th and out of Europe last season. You can have a style, and have a training regimen, but then if that directly leads to injuries then you can't hide behind the injury list. I didn't want Howe sacked but if he spent this season finishing 8th, no cup and a massive injury list then I would have. Thankfully we got Mitchell in as Sporting Director who apparently sorted Monaco's injuries out as well – so it all worked out but I don't get how Ange feels aggrieved at the criticism. He's lucky they're not in a desperate relegation fight this season. If he wins the UEFA Cup then fair enough but the injuries aren't acceptable in the league and not necessary imo. Style < Function for me – you need to earn the right to your style and managers nowadays skip the earning bit, which I think lets them down in their understanding of their club. Same with Man Ure.

      Imagine Madison saying he personally doesn't feel it, he should personally feel it all players should personally feel it when they don't perform to the level they can week in week out, they should be embarrassed. But they aren't because they are paid to much and are far to cumfy in life to actually care , the premier league ruined football!!

      Small club that dont pay top wages win nappies.
      No managers have ever been backed at tottenham.
      But the chairman is the highest paid conman is football.
