I’m not denying the influence he has on that abysmal United side BUT just cause his numbers are okay for a struggling side doesn’t not warrant a player of the season vote. I mean Gerrard carried us to 2nd place or lower for years and I wouldn’t have gave him the player of the year vote and he is a living legend but the player of the season has to go to the player who has helped the team either win the league or to a position that no1 thought they would be in. Like if Chris Wood got the player of the season I’m fuming cause Salah has been better BUT it’s understandable as he has helped Forest into a UCL position and sits what 4th in the top goal scorers this season and nobody not even people associated with Forest thought they would be top half let alone fighting for UCL.
