Fantastic CB and one of the best in the world currently but incredibly overrated by Liverpool fans.
Talk about him being one of the best ever is idiotic.
He right for example David Beckham kicking Diego Simone in 1998 World Cup rounder 16 then getting a red card and then everyone hated him but then he redeemed himself by winning the treble in 1999 then taking that amazing free kick too take England to World Cup finals in 2002
Football then > football now. Simple as that. This sport has become robotic, individual flares less active. Take me back 20-30 years ago. He is correct they’ only humans, but he is living the football culture of today that demands you to be robotic, stamina and pace and possession is the mantra, way to systematic.
Kids today believe this is the way to go, sad but true.
