Kyle Walker named Sadio Mane as his toughest ever opponent ahead of England’s 2022 World Cup quarter-final clash against France.
Walker was repeatedly asked about France’s Kylian Mbappe, who he has faced before, during the press conference.
But Walker told reporters that Bayern Munich’s Mane was the toughest attacker he’s ever come up against.
“I would probably say Sadio Mane, just because he never gives you a moment’s rest on the ball,” said Walker.
“The other guys that I mentioned (Neymar and Kylian Mbappe) don’t defend as much as Mane does and they save their energy when they’re attacking. So for me it’d probably be Mane.”
