The abundance of talent coming out of Portugal right now is overwhelming. Renato Sánches, Ruben Neves Bernardo Silva, Goncalo Guedes, William Carvalho, Andre Gomes, Joao Cancelo, Joao Teixeira, Bruma, Ivan Cavaleiro, Carlos Mané… They used to produce great players such as Figo, Deco, C.Ronaldo etc., but the footballing youth of the country seems to have declined during last ten years. Even in their current team, most of their profiles are older players(Pepé, Tiago Mendes, Coentrao, Ricardo Carvalho, Nani). I'm glad quality is coming out of this country again. France and Portugal are my extremely early favourites for World Cup 2022.
Neves, aside from his obvious talent, also seems very mature, professional and intelligent(in the footballing sense). When Barca start looking for long-term midfielders, he should definitely be among the top targets.
Love the comps of all the top midfield prospects around Europe – any chance we get a Weigl one, or would that be pushing it given the copyright problems with Bundesliga highlights?
can I know why 4 some players u have done 2-3 minutes clip ex origi sturridge and 10 to 12 mins clip for some other players ex coutinho necessary gundogan etc
Portugal has always produced great footballers. I don't understand why bigger clubs haven't picked up William Carvalho.. I was thoroughly impressed with his play in the U21 Euro tournament leading to the decisive win in the championship beating Germany 5 nil. Same with Joao Moutinho at Monaco. Both are fantastic defensive mids.
