Actually….. I think De Marco will be around for sometime whether Paqueta is found guilty or not. Either decision will lead to more court cases for differing reasons.

Paqueta scandal is nowhere near as bad as man city's 115 different charges and the FA couldn't find them guilty..this is a players career on the line
Gonzo, the more information that comes out, the more I think he isn’t guilty. However, I think the FA is now attempting to charge him with anything to avoid looking bad. Why would he risk his career over £7? Paqueta himself didn’t even want to play in the Bournemouth game because he thought he was moving to Man City. I reckon having Moyes involved in the case will benefit Paqueta though. Why ask for his phone back? Why not keep it until the end of the trial? There are so many questions and very little answers. If he doesn’t get found guilty, I hope we go all out against the FA. They would have cost him a move to the Champions at the time Manchester City and have had a massive impact on his mental health and affecting how he plays for us at times. Even if they come to a guilty verdict, I think he should appeal it.

FA case is done on balance of probability rather than beyond reasonable doubt – so far it looks weaker than pisswater beer served in stadium. Mobile phone stuff is bullshit. If nothing found on old mobile that's end of that one, he could have had burner mobile buts that's for FA to prove, if he surrendered own mobile in first place & you find nothing then hand back that too is end of it. Whatever happens this will end up in proper court anyway – if guilty of spot fixing criminal offence, if he is clear both him & West Ham can look to sue FA for failed Man City transfer.

I've been saying that for ages if the fa pursue this it's definitely ending up in high court,they tried this with xhaka at arsenal 18 months and dropped it but it seems they have it in for paqueta it's gonna cost the fa a massive law suit because as you say there's not a shred of concrete evidence to collaborate these accusations and Moyes testimony is what throws this whole thing into the preverbial bin , and west ham have a great case to pursue the fa for loss of earnings of paqueta transfer to city
Been saying this from the get go. Trying to prove that a player, who regularly gets silly yellow cards, had gotten a few on purpose is never going to be likely. Now hearing the bet sums makes it all ridiculous. Almost to the point where you’d want paqueta to counter sue the fa for the mental anguish it’s caused an d the impact it’s had on his playing ability.
Surely there are bets placed everywhere and every week on Paqueta getting booked, but because some of them were placed in his home town then suddenly it's suspicious? How many Mexicans are betting on Alvarez being booked, or Greeks betting on Mavropanos to commit a howler?

The evidence is looking at the best sketchy. You can not take someone's reputation and livelihood away unless the evidence is robust and more than arguably provable.
However, we will not be able to turn the clock back and bring the same confident player we had in Prague.
The 80 million player is now worth a fraction of that amount.
If found not guilty, then we should issue proceedings against the FA.
This is why it is taking so long to bring this to a conclusion. Lots of reputations at stake.
After winning the case West Ham should sell Paqueta for £25 mill and sue FA for compensatory loss of £60 mill plus 2 seasons of salary £15 mill. Thats £75 mill in total, can

if your running a spot fixing scam unless your a complete moron you wouldnt put the total sum of the bets down in one go. you break it up and spread it over alot of bets to try and hide the size of the original bet which is presumably what triggered the betting company's security systems (a sudden influx of bets totalling a larger than normal size for the type of bet)

Yeah, you can get a sim clone from your provider – and it doesn't affect the investigation. I handed mine to the police once after a car collision and it took ages to get it back. Was advised totally fine to do that.
You would get a new sim with the same number, the old sim becomes invalid and closes
It is worth remembering how accumulators build up. A £10 bet at say four times 5-1 becomes close to £13,000 winnings. Now take £400 and you are over half a million quid

All of that information was already known, apart from the value of the small bets, although it was indicated that the total of winnings was less than 1 weeks of Paquetas wages.

The bets are so small, he could have paid them all off in a couple of weeks. Would you risk your whole entire career and the massive earning potential that follows – Man City – Champions League, Brazil – World Cup for 2 weeks wages and a dodgy uncle? I think not! I surmise the Uncle was just seeing the repetitive patterns of play from his nephew and just taking big punts! He was using him. Do I think Paqueta is guilty – never in a million years!
