Portugal head coach Paulo Bento praised Cristiano Ronaldo on Monday after he won the FIFA Ballon d’Or.
The Real Madrid forward ended Lionel Messi’s three-year run as the world’s best player.
“The fact that he’s a player with an extraordinary talent, who has been showing it not just this year but the previous ones as well, when he was at the major games. He won in 2008, the first Portuguese player to win this award twice. I’m extremely satisfied as a coach and as a Portuguese.”
