Based on recent research, US “Not Ready” for World Cup
If you’re not already over there i suggest you start applying for Visas now, or fly in a few weeks to a month before hand to make sure you’re not being held at customs.
For the love of everything, FIFA please take the WC away from the US.
Thanks,

Please cancel the World Cup here in the United States because of the orange evil mean man

The fact that the US can participate when Russia can’t is a joke. The Russian invasion of
Ukraine is awful but the American support for ethnic cleansing and genocide is shocking.

Just give it to Saudi Arabia then. They get everything else. Gianni would be delighted at such a “fantastic” move

A travel industry trade group asking for increased investment in the travel industry. Yeah, they are credible. Look at this statement: “including 6 million for the World Cup.” As best I can tell, this assumes every ticket will be purchased by a foreigner and that each person will attend only one match. That isn’t realistic.
The country sees around 70M foreign tourists every year. Something tells me things will work out.

Trump isn’t going near a single one of these games… he will be hated in every host city (save maybe Dallas) by every fan of every participating country. It may be downright dangerous for him to attend lol. The US is very much ready to host these matches

USA probably the most ready team to host any World Cup.

You needed research to find out the US isn’t built with public transport in mind?

It will be fine, and a massive success.

Elon Musk is actively trying to fix all of these issues…. But Reddit will have you believing he’s an autistic nazi.

As much as I hate that the USA is hosting the World Cup because frankly they have no respect or appreciation for it. I think if Qatar or Russia can host the WC I think the USA will be fine. Getting a USA visa is hard if you are from a 3rd world country, so many fans will miss out on it.

THey already hosted World Cup once, i’m sure it will be fine, even with no public transport. The bigger issue here that im worried of, is price of tickets. Americans are crazy for high ticket prices, so i wouldnt be surprised if the cheapest ones start at 200$+

I’m curious how many players on the qualifying teams from poorer countries will have problems getting visas to enter the country. Right now it’s a 700-day wait (!) to get a visa appointment in Colombia. Sure, some strings will no doubt be pulled, but it would be no surprise if some players are denied entry from a country that isn’t “friendly” to the US (and who knows which countries will even be on that list a year from now).

This reads like propaganda by the travel industry to get more investment from the government. I’m sure they bring up some valid points of things that need to be prepared or improved upon before the World Cup, but also, our infrastructure supports huge sporting events across the country already without issue.

Not gonna be a problem. If US keep going like the last 30 days, a lot of westerners will skip it, just like the other rogue nations that held (Russia/Qatar). Can’t support a n.z. run country..

It’s not ready for the World Cup and it’s also not ready for the Olympics.

Every Saturday during American football season there are 20+ games with 60,000 – 100,000 fans in attendance.
And the WC will have games in Mexico and Canada as well.
