Manchester City defender Nathan Ake admitted that Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe was unstoppable.
The France striker scored a hat trick as Real Madrid dumped Manchester City out of the Champions League on Wednesday.
Mbappe’s stellar trio of goals in the fourth, 33rd and 61st minutes in a 3-1 win gave Madrid a 6-3 victory on aggregate over the 2023 champion in their two-leg knockout playoff.
One superstar striker was watched by another from the sidelines. Erling Haaland was not fit to start for an ultimately outclassed Man City because of a knee injury sustained late in a Premier League game Saturday.

Guardiola put Savinho in the wrong position. Savinho would have caused Real Madrid a lot of problems in his own position. Marmush doesn't have the ability to compete with players from the big clubs. Strikers and wingers need to be very fast, which is not the case at Man City. McAtee, Khusanov and Bernardo played a little better. Gvardiol shouldn't have given Mbappe a chance to shoot in the first place, but Gvardiol sat and watched Mbappe shoot
