Merino is a better 8!!!! Merino has better G/A numbers in less minutes. Rice has minimal progressive passes. It’s apparent that Zubimendi is a much better 6, which was apparently why Rice was signed. He’s a Brexit midfielder.. A lot of running around and sideways passing.

As an Arsenal fan, I think he would probably prefer to be compared to the "one that got away" in Yaya Toure. I watched a video of Rice and I think Yaya just turns up at his house as a surprise. The rest of the video Rice looks about 10 years old and can't believe his hero is in his house and gets to ask him questions that his probably spent anywhere upto about 15 years thinking about. It was very wholesome video.
