  1. Merino is a better 8!!!! Merino has better G/A numbers in less minutes. Rice has minimal progressive passes. It’s apparent that Zubimendi is a much better 6, which was apparently why Rice was signed. He’s a Brexit midfielder.. A lot of running around and sideways passing.

  2. Slightly overrated calling him best box-to-box midfielder. As of right now, as premium midfielders go, I'd take Szoboslai over him. Ngl, he's good, like really English good, but the best? Hmmm, maybe if he wins Arsenal the title this season eh?

  3. Putting Declan Rice in the same sentence as Patrick Vieira is madness. He's not even the best midfielder at Arsenal. Just another England promo.

  4. can’t pass the ball forward. 14 thru passes in his entire premier league career. The brother can’t pass forward to save his life. Sideways backwards Declan. He has 2 open play assists. Both assists were down to the individual brilliance of the scorer. He is overrated.

  5. 26:30 George says he will never cut on the inside and curl one in but he did it for norway. Also hypothetically if you had to sell every player for a realistic price what would you get for each player

  6. As an Arsenal fan, I think he would probably prefer to be compared to the "one that got away" in Yaya Toure. I watched a video of Rice and I think Yaya just turns up at his house as a surprise. The rest of the video Rice looks about 10 years old and can't believe his hero is in his house and gets to ask him questions that his probably spent anywhere upto about 15 years thinking about. It was very wholesome video.

  7. I love him, I have his shirt, but he needs to improve offensively before we can deem him “the best box to box midfielder”.

    Defensively – very sound
    On the ball – great
Set pieces – one of the best

    Final 3rd progression – lacking
    Key passes – need more
