He might not have been the most skillful or flamboyant player throughout his career but nobody can question his guts and professionalism over the years. Good on him for standing up to these so called journalists.

He handled himself well. But no one should blame a journalist for digging deeper. That’s the job. And “the media” is not a single entity, it’s individuals. Some cross the line, as do some players, some ask honest questions of those claiming to be in the know and write based on the information made available to them. If more players and managers followed Hendo’s example and had the courage to come out and respectfully set the record straight there wouldn’t be as many erroneous stories written.
