  1. I’m all for players all being in their strongest positions without compromise, but that sees Bellingham in the 10 and Foden on the bench, so Phil better be careful what he wishes for.

  2. People like Saka and Bellingham had to play in multiple positions. Gordon, Palmer had to be benched just so that you can get your so-called preferred position and you still played like a prick all tournament. International football isnt for you to play your perfect role. I've seen defenders have to play as strikers for their national teams and perform better than this guy. Stuff like this is why England will never win anything.

  3. Foden is the best player england have got, not my opinion, the opinion of all PL players. The fsct Pep can get a tune and Wokegate cannot confirms, it all about the manager. They made the imbecile a Sir too for failure…..

  4. Southgate probably reacharounds to all his players which is why he was so well liked by them. Now that he isn't there to perform his legendary sexual act, the players are turning on him because anger is part of the grieving process.
    They miss his reacharounds dearly.

  5. Steven Gerrard got put out into so many different positions, was ignored as the clear captain, ignored as the clear best player.. and never said a word. Foden, stop crying.

  6. Phil foden one of I think 7 Englishman to be premier league player of the year….but apparently according to some here he’s rubbish. They are geniuses evidently

  7. Don't think Southgate is a good manager but Foden was able to roam around and there was often times he ended up in number ten positions or I can remember multiple occasions when he was taking shots on his left foot coming in from the right pocket in midfield. It wasn't like he was asked to be a touchline winger like Grealish.

  8. If Gareth Southgate, Simon Jordan or Dean Saunders asked me to play out of position for a major final I'd run and run even if i wasn't in my favourite position.

    Some players are useless.

Im no good but id try so hard

  9. I don't wanna see another false winger on the left for ENG, was racking my brains how we could be happy with absolutely nothing happening on that side, Gordon is the only one that'll hug the touch line and attack full backs.

Foden has fallen down the pecking order if he wants to play CAM, he looks like a misfit outside of City's system, Jude and Palmer take priority.

  10. England before Southgate, losing to Iceland, being eliminated in World Cup by Costa Rica. Foden is a good player made to look better by world class players around him at club level. A stronger argument against Southgate is that he should have left Foden out of the team altogether for the sake of balance.

  11. I dont see how playing on the left robbed him of his ability to control a ball. He got exposed because hes just not that good. Hes done f all for England and is behind Jude and Palmer for a reason.

  12. I never trusted seasaonal players.1 season wow factor..1 billlion dolla' contract..after the contract is signed its over the flop becomes a cancer in the team.

  13. Foden has been poor for england. Rashford was firing but was benched for Foden, who didn't deliver. Palmer was firing in the last tournament but was benched for Foden. He isn't as effective as Jude, so he should be happy he was being picked regardless of his performances

  14. International teams are nowhere near as strong as they were 15 or twenty years ago. Only Gareth Southgate could navigate us away from winning a trophy in the past four tournaments.

  15. I'm a united fan and it baffles me that Danny said Bellingham and Cole are battling it out for the 10 when Foden was player of the season in that position, like how as he been taken out of the conversation for the 10 role it's mental
