This feels forced. This stinks of the PGMOL complaining to either sky or the FA and them making pundits do this. This doesn't feel like a natural response to yesterday. Those decisions were horrendous and they need calling out. Lewis-Skelley tripped a guy and got a straight red? Meanwhile up the road Enciso knees Endo in the jaw, follows through with his whole body, and only gets a yellow. Amateur officiating. No consistency
The issue that I haven’t seen many people talk about is that the poor officiating doesn’t just have an effect on the single result and that’s all. It can lead to a manager losing their job or players missing out on x,y and z. A controversial decision on the final day of the season could lead to a team getting relegated and having to let go of staff on the business side who have nothing to do with the match being played
Edit: i am not a pro abuse. I think critiquing isn’t the answer either like Jamie suggests. It needs to be real accountability.
The conspiracy stuff is too far, but otherwise, I don't think the criticism of refereeing standards is out of order at all… You can't stop people talking. And it isn't just fans, it is former players too. I'm tired of some pundits dismissing criticism completely, rather than strongly advocating for change. It isn't personal (some do make it so), it is about getting better. Surely Jamie can get behind that.

Most fans don't think it's a conspiracy against their team, they just think the refereeing is so inconsistent it can't just be down to incompetence. Whether there's match fixing, spot betting, backhanders etc. something is off
