In defense of Mac Jones for this game only, the patriots are literally running an elementary version of McDaniels offense. Pretty easy for McDaniels to defend against a play he probably installed in training camp for a decade.

To Nicks Point on Bailey Zappe:
Yes he had 5 TD in 4 games but we also have to consider the Defenses he faced: Packers, Browns, Lions and Bears. None of these Defenses are elite, especially against the Pass.
I want to see Zappe in the last three games (against Bengals, Dolphins and Bills) to see what he can do against legit defenses.
And actually its a good time to bench Mac. Not because he played poorly against the Raiders but because he is so emotional it actual hurts his performance. He needs a timeout, a mental reset.

I mean it’s getting bad Kevin wildes and Chris Broussard spend more time trying to make Nick look bad or look wrong. Then they do simply analyzing the game. They will literally sacrifice being correct in what they’re speaking on and go last and say completely weird things just to try to make Nick look wrong or look bad. You getting bad at this point it was funny but now it’s like come on.
I don’t think the “we couldn’t pass it,” was so bad. There aren’t many QBs I expect to throw a 65+ yard Hail Mary. Also, while it looked HILARIOUS to see Mac get such a nasty stiff arm, most QBs aren’t making that tackle if we’re being honest. It being on film is great though.
There’s a ZERO PERCENT chance Tom Brady would have tackled Chandler Jones. That’s a wild thing to say…
