Everton were left frustrated as they could not find a way to break through stubborn 10-man Brentford in a goalless draw at Goodison Park.
After an excellent, fast-flowing start from Sean Dyche’s side that saw chances for Idrissa Gana Gueye, Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Blues were given a boost five minutes before half-time when defender Christian Norgaard was shown a red card for a reckless challenge on Jordan Pickford.
But the hosts could not make the most of that advantage after the break as their resilient opponents held firm to leave Merseyside with a point.

The fact Beto isn’t starting every game amazes me, sure he was missing but had way more good chances and more energy. Lindstrom is also still really poor, feels like every time the ball goes to him everything slows down or something goes wrong. You know it’s a poor Everton performance when Ashley Young was probably the best player in the match

I think the manager is good and likes to play defense. The players can't score goals, so the attacking players need to be strengthened.
Young, Lindstrom, Mikolenko… mediocre players, a coach without ideas who makes the same mistakes and a fan in the stadium who, instead of criticizing and asking for more from his team, settles for the minimum. We deserve to be relegated, this team is a ruin
