Have to disagree, gallagher was way better than average. He was our best midfielder last year and the only one who regularly got goals/assists. Our 2nd best player after Palmer last year
Conor Gallagher is no cole Palmer but when he plays, Caicedo plays better which is 100 Mil player. And hence selling Conor to any club is a bad idea. Chelsea owners are playing fantasy football, they want to win, but aren't consistent with their decision making. Chop & change is not a recipe to success. It's like going to gym for 1 day and workout for 8 hours cannot make anyone Arnold😅
God bless you Simon for your optimism, but as a Chelsea supporter of 50+ years I don't see the club doing anything significant under this current regime. Their policy of throwing money at the problem has just resulted in a team on the pitch with a total lack of identity.

Simon always speaks with common sense. He doesn’t buy in to all the narratives so many other create. People going on about the size of the squad. Just looking at the squad quickly you can see at least 12 to 15 of them will be sold/loaned and play in the u21 squad. Counting players like tyrique George as someone that will be in the main squad week in week out.

All good, my only concern is when the coach says this and that player does not suit MY system. It should be the other way around. One builds the team to players' strengths . Ask Conte how he tailor his system to make them champions . No by selling his best players, because they don't fit his system
If we ever get an actual full blown striker scoring 20plus goals this season THEN we will get to the top 4 but fluffing around yet another winger when will our management realise they could have saved a fortune by just buying one top world class striker! Wouldnt want to expect more than midtable for Chelsea this season as Maresca would probably need a few years to adjust to top flight football as a head coach. Lets see how he deals with Chelsea’s perennial injury problem with james, chilwell, enzo F, fofana, lavia seemingly injury prone. Poch did fairly well last season because he had gallagher.

Chelsea have 44 senior players rn 🤣 and that is excluding players out on loan. They have double the squad of Arsenal so they have no excuses they need to challenge and minimum get top 4 otherwise it’s a failure.

Caicedo? Ugochukwo? Mudryk? Drewsbury hall is better than average?
Its not the fact that we are selling a through and through chelsea lad.. it hurts because we are selling our boy for bang average nonsense players.. i mean half of them wont see the first team.. and connor was the captain of the team who got the supposed 6th finish and the league cup finalists.. we are selling our captain for unproven and average 20 year olds.. that is frustrating
