Bizarre solution but Ben White could switch to a defensive midfielder if Xhaka is not fit. Saliba would then take his place at the back.
White had played there a few times for Brighton and looked decent. It seems almost certain that Elneny leaves in January and even though that means we still have Sambi and AMN- it seems inadequate despite good performances by both.
Guendouzi is an obligation to buy so I don't think there is any scope of him coming back but is there a way for Arsenal to get more money for him? It would help fund the Laca replacement in the summer.
