  1. Arsenal keeps on making the same mistakes, Martinelli is average but is on the wages of a top player. Everything for him is speed speed speed. He applies no football intelligence

  2. Martinelli does not seem to look at the keeper and choose exactly where to place the ball. There is only so much a keeper can do with a certain trajectory of the ball. Even Thibaut Courtois would not save that ball if Martinelli went to the keeper's right side. Now you have to keep your eye on the keeper or fool him into thinking you are gonna do exactly what Martinelli did, then you simply slot it to the right of the keeper or spin it with the outside of the boot. There are simple techniques for beating keepers but it seems difficult for some very top footballers to learn. Martinelli should get a compilation of Michael Owen's goals, Robbie Fowler's, Harry Kane's, Chicharito's, and Miroslav Klose's videos. (Watch West Ham's German striker at the Euro's or Villa's John Duhran's technique and even Bernardo Silva against Madrid to begin to think like them in such situations). Some other strikers are difficult to learn from because they have power and several other skill sets i.e. Henry, Luis Suarez or Shearer.

  3. But 90 % are average anyway..especially when commentators hype up normal or good passes as world class
What's different between a non league player missing a chance the same way these 'elite ' players do..oh they potential, potentially worse then non league players
Don't not be fooled by the prem league hype
Martinelli 🤔where n when was his incline for the decline..again,average players with good stamina n control lol

  4. He’s past his best and reached his peak. He’s kinda brainless and always does the same, always same
Movement, nothing new, always the same finish trying to curle it into the long corner

  5. He’s a very good player – but he’s still young – and his form is a bit delicate and dependent on people around him (as opposed to Saka who can so play well regardless of injuries to his normal team mates)

  6. Agreed. Hasn’t been great for a good while now. Was the best of a bad bunch in the champions league game the other day though. But I think it’s the systems teams tend to play against us now, they’re sitting deep with less space for him to exploit which was mainly his game anyway
