Choi Sol-gyu (Korean: 최솔규, born 5 August 1995) is a South Korean badminton player.[1] He has been best known as a mixed doubles player since his back-to-back titles at the Badminton Asia Junior Championships in 2012 and 2013. However, as a junior, he was also successful in boys’ singles, in which he won the under-17 title at the 2011 Surabaya Cup[2] and the Malaysia International Youth U19 in both 2012 and 2013.[3] He was a part of the Korean national team that won the 2017 Sudirman Cup.[4]

Seo Seung-jae (Hangul: 서승재; born 4 September 1997) is a South Korean badminton player.[2][3] In 2014, he competed at the Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China.[4] In 2017, he helped the Korean national team compete at the 2017 Sudirman Cup and won the trophy and the gold medal at that tournament.[5]

  1. Best smash Nur Izzuddin.
Best player, Seo Seung-jae. More versatility and variation in his gameplay.
Choi Sol-gyu is the most experienced player on court (he has been around for a few years) and should really have shown more development.
The Malaysian pair is the better combination though, and I suspect we will see greater things from them in the future.
