Needs a bit of perspective of course, but he looses the ball too often, opts for simple passes very often and has a low hit rate when he tries a more difficult pass. Lavia has a fantastic pass, plays forward quickly and feels more solid defensively. I may add that Chuckwu is one I rate highly too. Enzo is our weak point, no doubt.
Enzo needs to be a double 6 pivot with game in front of him to unleash his passing range, also do defensive duties. If not used in this manner to me hr struggles into this system. Lavia better in defense and we have stacked attacking options better suited more advanced

Fernandez is young, but I don't think he is all that hungry. Yes, he's only 23, but he is a married father of a 4 year old and a 1-year-old. While that is not unheard of, (see Phil Foden, but Foden's a Pep-era MCFC local, academy grad), it is not the norm among would-be elite footballers innit?

The big difference is that Enzo missed 7 of our last 8 games last season 6 of which were wins.
Totals Since 23/24 incl. this season: Chelsea 48% Enzo 41% Palmer 50% Jackson 47%
My takes from this, Palmer is outperforming the club, great. Jackson is there or there abouts keep doing ya thing. Enzo has underperformed, but no where near as badly as Sky make it look. I don't subscribe to the narrative that had he played those 7 games last seasons end that the results would be all that different, as it was down to Poch tweaking tactics. Had Enzo played those games, he is about level with the club (rest of the squad on average). His first season we can let off, he had much less breaks than most European players get and we were just shit anyway. Like a lot of our current players, I think he just needs time, encouragement, and support. Also look how easy it is to paint different narratives with the same stats, Sky can suck one.

My other point, if you have access to this data as a YouTuber, and have put this video and analysis together fairly quickly, in what planet are the chels staff looking at this and still deciding to start Enzo every week? You hit the nail on the head with the investment point. But if this was a deciding factor then Mudryk would also be starting every week too.

I’m not much of a Fernandez Stan but this is some classic Sky Sports stats hoodoo. It’d be more informing if we saw the win rate of each midfield duo, alongside who were defending in those games. Pass percentage and key passes per game would also be much more informative than win rate %.
His 2 good passes every 5 games is not enough … honestly, it appears not many players on the team like him … Palmer doesn't appear to like him and i think the story of him is opposite of mudryk. Enzo has refined talent but not using it properly and is becoming error prone, especially evident next to caicedo

Honestly very disappointed in you. You really have changed into just another let’s pick a player to hate on youtuber. Stats are stupid because Enzo also plays in the most compact part of the field so him losing the ball more just makes sense. In our last 2 games he made 3 beautiful through balls and jackson missed missed all 3 opportunities 1 on 1 with the keeper, enzo’s stats don’t show Jackson missing.
I have never seen anything good other than 1 good pass every 5 matches. Slow and uninspiring,he is overrated and Lavia is 10 times the player and when fit and ready should take Fernandez's place. KDH is even a better option.
Enzo is literally a worst J5. We don’t need to go down this route again. Will only do great if the game suits him, but will get exposed against great teams and hold us back

His defensive work is horrible. Even for a regular midfielder that would be awful. We overpaid for literally nothing.
