Feels like she's barely played since that first friendly in the US. Maybe there's some friction in the background?

I would like to add the fact that she’s gonna have a 15 month long season this year. The timing of the Swedish league is very different, so adding that to our own makes it a very very long season without breaks. I’m assuming that plays a major part in working her into our team slowly

  2. Its definitely jumping to conclusions to assume this is anything other than him being overly cautious- and wrong- about his long term planning and subs.

I get that he wanted to get Leah and Steph minutes but you have to pick up three points first and foremost

  3. No, I’m not having this. Teams use subs to change the outcome of the game at 0-0, not getting minutes for players.

Either you disrespect Everton and want to get some match fitness for Stepth & Leather in preparation for Bayer and it backfires or you just don’t want to use Rosa just as you didn’t with Ke this year & Chloe last year.

I mean… sure. But surely you have to plan for whether you might be chasing a game in the closing stages and adjust appropriately, right? The fact it seems like Jonas was going to make those substitutions irrespective of the score feels like really poor management. The best managers adapt to what’s in front of them.

Substituting KCC for Walti, DM for DM, when pushing for a winner felt the most bizarre to me. Honestly, I’m not sure I’d have taken KCC off at all tbh. Mead and Maanum had worse games in my opinion and either one of those could have come off for Kafaji.

  5. It’s important to give mins to the BACK UP left back, than one of your main summer signings who is a young player who needs mins to develop and has only just come to the club.

    We where fucking drawing 0-0

    I can’t stand this manager

Man bollocks to this guy and his excuses, she’s one of the most promising attacking players we have and perfect for a game like this and he decides to keep Little on and bring Lia on as well in a 0-0 game, he has totally lost the plot. Is this him admitting the league isn’t as big a concern now?

  7. The ‘clique’ still runs this team. Big game at the Emirates and he’s bringing on all the ‘in’ players. Rather than the ones to win the match.

Until that changes no trophies will be won.

  8. I think his honest thought beyond what he has said here is that he obviously underestimated Everton’s ability to hold on against whatever he put out there and thought something would give and he would be able to have his cake and eat it.

Surprisingly naive. Maybe you could get away with this regularly a few years ago when the gulf between teams was wider but draws and upsets are far more common than they used to be.

Does Jonas understand the purpose of a substitution or nah?

Between the league & CL, there are plenty of matches coming up for players to get minutes.

    What an odd excuse.

  10. When you analyse the data with starts, minutes played etc. 4 out 5 subs make sense. The only one that does not is Wälti for Cooney-Cross. First it was too late and second Kafaji or Kühl would have made more sense attacking wise

  11. Lol. I get Kafaji may be playing with no break but I don’t think it’s crazy for her to play the final 15-20 mins
