Why he went 5 at the back when they couldn’t even get out of their own half is baffling.
Guess that’s why he’s never been a manager before.

That was a midtable performance from Bristol City

I have no fucking idea what Riza was doing.
Going to 5 or 6 at the back when sneaking a win after 80 minutes is one thing when you’re barely holding on, but subbing off a winger and striker for a wingback and a centre half after 65 minutes when you are utterly dominant is sheer brainworms.
I have no doubt we would’ve won that 2/3-0 before those changes. Bristol were slightly better the first half, but until those subs were absolutely nowhere to be seen.
After they inevitably scored five minutes later, we were then left with nothing up top and just invited so much pressure onto ourselves.
Tanner, Colwill, Ralls and Robertson all immense for us. For the Wurzels, McNally and Williams were very good.

Should’ve just kept our boot on Bristol’s neck. This is why we need a proper manager in.

We seem to have this amazing ability to make it appear that whoever we play against are one of the best teams in the league

Don’t scare me like that Cardiff I thought you were gonna leave us behind

Hopefully them subs are the nail in the coffin for his chances of getting the job, even I could see that deciding to park the bus with 30 minutes remaining when we were battering them was idiotic.
Until he was put up top and completely isolated I was impressed with colwill, his finishing is awful though which is a surprise if you look at the goals he has scored for us. Tanner is also picking his goals well: v swansea, bristol c, and Rotherham… The big 3 rivals.
If we can get a good manager in over the international break then I can see us having the quality to survive. With how bad our start has been though we can’t afford to cock it up.
On a side note, this was the first time that I’ve seen bristol c’s kit and the red and white checkered collar and sleeve ends absolutely ruin it. It takes it from a standard red kit to a homage to a greasy spoon cafe.

Should have been 3 or 4-0 up, in complete control and Bristol had no idea how to defend colwil and tanner.
Press was superb 35 mins onwards, won the ball back high up the pitch 3 times and Bristol couldn’t get out of their own half.
What the gaffer was thinking when he takes a winger off and brings a CB on to sit in a low block 541 I have no fucking idea. It killed our press and he also put colwil upfront who is vital to our build up play so not only were we letting them walk into our own third we couldn’t progress the ball when we did win it back.
Riza completely killed off what was an easy 3 points here. Having said that, we look much much better even with a slightly less useless manager, and what a shock our best 4 or 5 players were the same players Bulut had frozen out of the squad.
Colwil is unbelievable and tanner had his best match in a city shirt today.
Think we easily finish mid table with a semi competent manager.

Shit and boring. Changes were made at the right time, but yet again Yu and Sincs were scapegoats for the ineffective midfield that relied way too much on Vyner route-one-ing again. Three Sky games and 3 points total shows how dross we are without a foot up our asses.
Hope Cam Pring is back soon.

Thank you Bristol, that was almost embarrassing for us.

We won’t get relegated because when we absolutely have to, we can drag ourselves kicking and screaming to a result.
The most impressive thing about our performance was our ability to play so well for the 5/10 leading up to the equaliser, just to absolutely switch it off at 1-1 and go back to being abject.
Manning has to be under a bit of pressure now,

it was a game we should have won, i’d argue, if our formation not been changed.
had we gone more defensive much later in the game, it’d be ours, but it was done way too early.

I’d really like one game this season to not end with me feeling utterly embarrassed by our performance on the way home.
