  1. Def is ! Needs to improve . Take his chances. Its not his first season & he cost a fortune . This cult hero thing needs to stop .. i like the player & hope he comes good

  2. Slot will opt for another number 9 at the first opportunity. He likes to play a Gimenez type 9, one who can receive the ball under pressure and hold it just long enough for midfield support to arrive. Gimenez himself isn't good enough for Liverpool though.

  3. The thing that Darwin has going for him is his pace. He is very hard to defend against when he is running at speed. His goal (though offside) is what comes naturally to him. He needs to work on being more aware of where the defenders are standing so that he does not get caught offside. He is unfortunately not so prolific in taking a defender on in a one-to-one situation, but he can beat defenders when he goes around the outside hugging the goal line to pass the ball back for an onrunning number ten to score.

He is also quite dangerous in the air, and since he is more physical than Jota, could more penetrating and precise crosses from TAA/Salah/Szoboszlai and Robertson/Diaz/Gakpo be beneficial? Unfortunately, he wasn't connecting very well with Diaz and Salah yesterday (and others) against Bologna. Moreover, he can also surprise with his shooting ability (though perhaps not consistently enough) – as he did in his wondergoal against Milan and at other times when he managed to cut inside and shoot or from the outside like the two against Newcastle last year.

  4. Nunez held the ball up brilliantly for the first goal distributing it to Salah for the pre-assist. You miss the nuances of the game and really aren’t capable of tactical of player analysis and should stick to reporting club news. A striker must be free to miss and be given total faith. We only have one real No.9 and need to give him 10 games straight.

  5. Jota is tier above Nunez only thing Nunez Over jota is pace let's not forget jota X lucho link up without Jota, Lucho struggled to get G/a it's obvious

  6. Nunez lack the intelligence needed to be a world class striker. He's someone that let his instinct dictate his playing style, he'd shoot from outrageous angle/distance even when there are better option also he is really poor at timing his run to prevent offside.

  7. It's about time we all stop being naive to the fact Nunez is Trash!! Looking at the league table what team would honestly replace theor number 9 for Nunez? You'd have to probably go to 7th or 8th position. Not good enough! SELL
