  1. Can we not give this Edson Alvarez to Man U any traction there are social media player fishing/tapping up, Al we ned to do if put a 70/80M prize tag on him and they will walk a way faster than you can say, how much

  2. Push on? It appears Steidten is just here to oversee a policy of selling our best players and replacing them with nobodies, were a good bet to go down.

  3. West Ham really are a stepping stone club if we go back I hardly remember a player saying no I wanna stay here I believe in the project there head always turns something at our club needs to change ⚒️

  4. Unfortunate but this is why you place value in a strong youth team and an academy. There is so much competition from young players but are looking for pricey gems abroad. We have rough diamonds here that can be molded.

Potts just got Supporters Player of the Year and Young Player of Year at Wycombe, so he is doing well. Downes, Orford and Earthy should be given a pathway into the first team squad. We also have Scarles at left-back, Casey at centre-back and Johnson at right-back who should be our backup, if not coached into being first team as the seniors age out. If we sign foreign players to add depth, then why should the youth sign new contracts? If we're going to promote from within and retain our youth players, the club needs to show faith in the youth team and that the club has changed.

I want the club/manager to come out and say "it's OK we have depth, we have academy and young players that we are bringing through". It's also a major factor in how we can compete with these hostile FFP rules. As you say, we can't afford to add depth to all of the required positions, so let's not try to do it! Even if we drop a few points initially, it's financially worth it long term.

  5. When you have an owner who closed down the academy at his former club, you know you have a regime in charge who simply don't value youth players so nothing will change until Sullivan and Brady clear off. Sullivan is happy to pay stupid wages to players who his agent mates identify so everyone gets a nice little pay off yet he offers insulting wages to a home grown player like Johnson.

  6. Nothing changes in terms of transfer dealings as a midfielder should’ve been high on the list of priorities anyway after a couple of centre halves. It’s just simply a timely reminder, if the club wasn’t already taking it seriously.

We saw how the midfield struggled physically last season when one of Alvarez or Soucek was missing. We need another in.

I’d be tempted to go in for Ndidi on a free. He can play DM and CM.

  7. Starting to get a little concerned where Tropical Tim, the "Project", is maybe doing this launch into players we have/may have not, heard of, for the optics of it. But to flush down the toilet players that have been great, who have shown and proved, and would fit Lopetegui's form of play, it is worrisome at the moment. Alvarez can't go. We need a rebuild not a complete demolition of the squad.

  8. It's easy to forget that 99% of these rumours are bollox

130 people we've been linked to

That's 130 clubs who think they're losing players

    Only 1 has

    Less than 1%
