Controversial Argentinian Goalkeeper and 2022 Qatar World Cup golden glove winner Emiliano “Dibu” Martinez has been slapped with suspension from FIFA for offensive behaviour. The suspension comes after Emiliano Martinez exhibitted offensive behaviour on two different instances and allegedly slapped a cameraman. ‘

Emiliano Martinez has been suspended for two FIFA World Cup qualifiers games in October against Venezuela and Bolivia. Martinez was found in violation of principles of fair play.

The Argentine Football Federation (AFA) has condemned the suspension by FIFA by issuing a statement that said, “”It should be noted that the Argentine Football Association expresses its absolute disagreement”.
