Enzo Fernandez Receives Threats from West Ham Midfielder Edson Alvarez had an argument with Enzo Fernandez in the West Ham United vs Chelsea match. The Blues midfielder was threatened with murder.
West Ham hosted Chelsea at the London Stadium, in the 5th week of the Premier League. There was an incident involving Alvarez and Fernandez on the field.
At the beginning of the second half, not long after Chelsea increased their lead to 3-0 through Cole Palmer’s goal, an argument occurred between Alvarez and Fernandez. The two were tense and argued.
Reporting from Metro, according to the Spanish broadcaster who read lips, Alvarez had thrown out threatening words to Fernandez.
“I’ll wait, yes!” said Edson Alvarez.
“I’ll kill you outside, wherever you want,” he added.
Fernandez then replied briefly. “Go ahead, go ahead,” said the Argentine player.
West Ham was frustrated by Chelsea from the start. In the first half, The Blues were able to score two goals through Nicolas Jackson.
Cole Palmer then increased the lead shortly after the break. Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over their city rivals lasted until the end of the match.
The victory made Chelsea soar in the Premier League standings. Enzo Maresca’s team rose to fourth place with 10 points, while West Ham United were stuck in 14th place with 4 points from 5 matches.
