    West Ham to sign Carlos Soler from PSG | Lopetegui confirms he wants more players this summer!



    West Ham United are trying to agree a deal with PSG for their Spanish midfielder, Carlos Soler. Earlier in the week Julen Lopetegui confirmed he wants more players this summer as he doesn’t feel they’ve achieved their aim of 2 players per position. Top journalists such as ExWHUEmployee, Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sports Dharmesh all suggest the move is likely to happen with a valuation of £20m on the central midfielder

      We don’t need Soler to be a defensive tackling type of player. We have Guido and Alvarez for that. We need someone that can link the play and open teams up.

      Soler’s stats look amazing, although playing for PSG, my stats would look good too.

      I think the only thing we are missing from that 3 in midfield is a Paqueta understudy. We have 2 for defensive midfield in Alvarez and Rodriguez. We have 2 RCM in Soucek and Ward-Prowse. But for LCM we only have Paqueta. We lack some creativity when he’s missing so Soler could be perfect for this, with Irving to go out on loan and free up the space.

      Good afternoon Geo, i think Lop is talking about Coufal Antonio and Ings when he tallks about not having a two for two .. lets be honest they're pretty much surplus to requirements along with Zouma , and i doubt they are gonna play 2nd fiddle to AWB and The Fulk .

      When he was a young 20s player for Valencia, he was brilliant. Haven’t seen much of him since he’s gone to France. I think he’d be a great addition to our squad, with a chance to prove he belongs in our first team.

      I follow Valencia from time to time.. he rose to prominence from there. He was good.. but not a world beater. He´s a good dribler.. but not fantastic.. he can score goals.. but not many.. you see what Im saying. I think he will struggle with the pace and physicality of the PL.

      With all due respect to Sean, he hasn’t been right very much this summer. Supposedly, he’s further out of the loop than he used to be.

      There’s a lot of chatter today about Tommy going to Everton would be a good fit for Dyche.

      Agree with you Geo about Lopey’s statement. It may also mean that there are still deals we don’t know about in negotiation. Either way, it means the end for a couple of the old boys.

      Hi Geo, can't say I've kept tabs on Soler or even the La liga too much but from what I've seen on YouTube I think he would be a good addition to playing a similar role to Paqueta, more of an attacking central playmaker. A very experienced player at the Top level both in league and internationals.
      I would also say with the Exception of Foderingham, Fulkrug and Wan Bissaka, the rest of of our signings can play at least 2 if not 3 different positions which I think is superb, our team has to becas flexible as possible regards to different formations and tactics during a game.
