Leeds United fans have voted in their thousands, with Brenden Aaronson picking up the first Player of the Month award of the 2024/25 campaign.
The American international was praised by fans and pundits alike during August, featuring in all five of Leeds’ games across the league and cup.
It took Aaronson just 18 minutes to open his tally on the opening day of the season, coming on as a 72nd minute substitute against Portsmouth, before finding the net in the 90th.
The forward was on the scoresheet again soon after, grabbing the opener in 2-0 win over Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
The 23 year old faced stiff competition for August’s JD Sports Player of the Month award, attracting 28% of the vote, followed by Mateo Joseph (20%), Junior Firpo (16%) and Pascal Struijk (11%).
