  1. If we get top 4 in a transition season that's ok, I mean we played every game last season and sports science or not the universe is going to balance that with players injuries as they may need some rest regardless, that was a crazy season, and eh always coming short of Man City must do people f**king heads in…financial rich boys playing card team…..

  2. Nunes played well today full 90min against a superior team and made no mistakes, and more importantly he’s not injured and on treatment table for next 6 weeks, klopp and Liverpool are idiots

  3. He’s nabby Keita 2.0, and we all know how that went, Matheus Nunes is more the attack minded midfielder we need, Moises is a good replacement for the Keita we should of got, but we should of signed Nunes as well

  4. This is a box to box midfield with offense potential. In a system that likes to risk foward passes this is the guy. He connect the defense to offense in an instant without needing many touches or time with the ball. High IQ CDM that is only going to get better. He will cost more after the World Cup. All eyes on him in the inaugural World Cup game against Qatar.

  5. i mean id take him at this point, and if our midfield had one more great 8 he’d be a good signing, not for £50m but a bit less, we already have harvey who’s good as an 8 we need someone 22+ who can come in and be that starter nexto fab and thiago when fit, it’s crazy how we’re fighting to beat a legendary city team and try win the ucl without world class players in every position, we have 2 top tier midfielders then the drop off is huge and consider the fact thiago is always injured we spend half the season with only 1 top class midfielder

  6. you said it urself at the start, why would we gamble on him when we could buy nunes for the same price whos a more guaranteed success, however we’ve been in this scenario before… remember nearly signing gotze over mane, and nearly signing sarr over jota, often the obvious signing ends up to be not so good and it’s the other that ends up more successful

  7. it’s like the owners are happy with us being top 4, he’s not buying players who will help for instant success but more help in the future to sustain our top presence, while this is ofcourse needed we also need instant success as the legendary players we have will not be here forever, mane has left this year, who’s it gonna be next year? in 2/3 years thiago vvd matip salah will all be older and likely fall off a bit and they’ll need replacing which is almost impossible with the money we seem to be spending

  8. i think mane asking to leave could cost us success this season, not so much because we’ll miss him but more because we had to replace him, we bidded £80m for tchouameni so we had money to spend on a midfielder, then mane asked to leave so we had to spend that money on a striker, who knows who we could’ve signed with that £80m maybe even a player such as de jong or barella who would help for instant success, yes we needed to buy nunez and i think he’ll be amazing but i would’ve preferred to keep mane another year and buy a midfielder

  9. Caicedo was key playing for Ecuador to qualify for the World Cup against the likes of Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Cavani, etc, etc in which is arguably the most difficult qualifiers in the world! The kid might be young but has had plenty of experience against the worlds best and has done very well indeed against them!

  10. Well, he does not dribble often when is not needed, but he surely knows how. See his games for Ecuador. He has a different role in Brighton, and it's to provide security. Caicedo knows how to be involved in the build-up of a play, he came out of the Independiente del Valle academy. This institution is about playing a possession game and looking into the spaces, see his games from when he was there. In the other note, I do not think he will go to Liverpool, I am sure his priority is building up on his football and being on the best form possible for the world cup. He also has publicly mntioned that is a Mancheter United fan. Brighton is also not interested in selling him.

  11. Kid’s only 20 and making the EPL league look like the MLS. He’s trashed Flamengo at 19 with IDV, and made Messi look silly in Buenos Aires. He may not be worth 50 mil, but after the World Cup he’ll definitely be worth twice that. Leave the kid alone, let him have his fun. ManU has definitely gone Bodmin over the loss of his signing.
