When you speak about the underdog story of 21st Century Jamie Vardy and Leicester City team are usually the ones that pop up. What many don’t know is that Olivier Giroud had a similar path and he actually did it better. Giroud came in from the lower leagues and just like Vardy he also took an absolute unknown team in Montpellier to Ligue 1 title. He then moved to Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan and now is a UEFA Champions League Winner, UEFA Europa League Winner, Serie A Champion and 4 time FA Cup Winner. To put cherry on top he is also a FIFA World Cup winner, not too bad for someone who in his early twenties was still in the lower leagues of French football
