      The guy played the last three years at juventus his first years in a big 5 league after being bought as a teenager, what other CB’s are better are 22 right now, some of the best CB’s in the world right now weren’t playing for top clubs at 22, he’s already mature for a young lad

      He wanted to go to Juventus to become a better defender but unfortunately like Marco van Basten said he became worse in Italy, leaving Italy will ge good for him and playing for Bayern because there he can become himself again. ESPN FC is a bunch of acidic pundits. Moreno never played on a level that i can take him seriously and Nicol still lives in the 80’s. If it is not PL their statements are underrated, if it is PL what they say is overrated.

      he is just 22 years old ! Where was van dijk at 22 ? Center backs need experience and de ligt has the potential to become the best center back in the world in a couple of years, and then his price will only go higher

      If Chelsea would have signed De Ligt then this podcast could have been a whole lot different. Bayern signed him that is the reason you people are skeptical. At times seriously I feel ESPN FC is a joke. Can you people actually say something encouraging to a club or a player outside EPL ? 😑

      They are so against everything that happens outside of PL. As the PL has all the best and the other are just not good enough, otherwise they would be in PL.

      De ligt can speak German, he plays in the same system as Ajax for years. He knows he will be the boss, dont underestimate it. Its Always a risk for that Money, but bayern knows he can be important if he can find his old Level.

      Hernandez as well, he cost them 80 million and, at best, he showed signs of improvement during the later half of last season, but more often than not he was having mediocre games (Not terrible ones, like Upamecano had) or was out injured.
      So, after mediocre and sometimes even terrible perfomances by the two IV's, they put their hopes and money in another young defender, with the same problems Upa and Hernandez have.
      Bayern has a 200 million central defense and the next defender on a level with Boateng or Hummels is still just a theory … a promise.
      Thats a dangerous deal for Bayern, if not at least one of them improves heavily next season, things could get complicated for Brazzo pretty quick

      De Ligt was at his ceiling at Juve. People forget some players play better/worse in certain systems. At Bayern DeLigt will be able to take the next step in his career, somewhat similar to Davies.

      I think its about time somebody called out these English 'pun'dits and their PL favoritism.
      A few days ago they put up stating that DeLigt is a world class centre back and would be the perfect Chelsea signing and all of a sudden they take a U turn and call him overrated because my favorite club Bayern purchased him.
      Its about time somebody drew the line for these Pl fanboys masquerading as fake pundits.
      A big L to you ESPN and all the other biased English Media.

      I'm sorry but I wonder how many Juventus games these pundits actually watched? For a start De Ligt was the first name on the team sheet when it came to the centre backs. They also ignore the fact that It's very difficult to show the same leadership shown at Ajax when Italian isn't your first language & you have to learn it from scratch. Also, Juventus didn't want to sell him but he requested the move. I guarantee that had he been moving to Chelsea or any other Premier league Club then these pundits attitudes would have been completely different. Bayern have just signed a young top 5 CB that has the ability to become number 1. If you haven't alreasy guessed, I didn't want him to leave.

      Well as a Chelsea fan, I must admit our team wanted De Ligt who I think is average and they wanted him because of his age n not because he's better than Koulibaly. Personally I will take Koulibaly any day ahead of De Ligt and am happy Chelsea dodged a bullet. My answer to those of you who said he rejected Chelsea is that he was in a juventus team that Chelsea smashed 4-0 in the champions league at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea member based in Qatar

      I think this is a loss for Juventus, and for the last few months this program has been anti-Dutch (check their comments on De Jong and Depay). De Ligt is a talented player who ran in biases at Juventus that bonucci and chiellinu were much better than De Ligt. If Juventus had their way these 2 would play for the next 100 years. Perfect example why Juve is on the decline and getting playes from yesteyear who haven't accomplised anything the last few years (Pogba).

      If Nagelsmann goes back to a back 3 the way he did at Leipzig, that might bring the best out of Upamecano and puts less responsibility on him and De Ligt. Hernandez, Upamecano, and De Ligt as a back 3 seems like it would work
