Unfortunately we are an embarresment in the football world. Laporta made it a priority to sign a player, but did not make it a priority to be able to financially afford the player prior to signing him. What a joke. We registered Dani Olmo with a little trick. We achieved this through Article 77 of the economic code of La Liga which states that if a player gets injured for up to 4 months or minimum 4 months, the 80% of the salary of this player will be freed up in terms of the Economical Financial Fair Play balance sheet of the team. Barca has been able to get a report from a doctor (Barcelona's doctor) saying that Christensen's injury could last up to four months even though the entourage of Christensen say that he will available much sooner. Barcelona registering Dani Olmo is only temporary. This gives us time until 31st December. Thats how long Barca have until they need to increase the revenues to make sure we can get players back on track and get back to the 1:1 rule. The thing is Christensen might be available much earlier than in 4 months time. What's gonna happen if Christensen is back much earlier than in 4 months and Barca haven't recovered the money? Well basically he won't be able to play. Barca are working on a couple deals like the Nike deal. It's kinda delayed but we are trying to get there to seal the deal. The deal is a lot of money. 90 million euros per season plus 150 million euro signing bonus which will be divided in the next 10 years of the tenure of the contract. This is important for us to free up a lot of space in the Financial Fair Play.
