Liverpool ‘Step Up’ Their Interest In Khvicha Kvaratskhelia As The Club Shifts Its Transfer Approach

Liverpool now has just one week remaining to finalize their summer transfer dealings. With the transfer window closing on August 30, the Reds and other Premier League clubs are racing against time.
Arne Slot has already secured his first win as Liverpool’s head coach, defeating Ipswich Town last week. Now, the Reds are gearing up for their upcoming Premier League match against Brentford at Anfield this Sunday, aiming to maintain their perfect start to the season.
Off the pitch, Liverpool continues to be linked with potential new signings. However, the club has yet to secure their first acquisition of the window, and the clock is ticking.
Liverpool is reportedly interested in signing Napoli forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. the Reds are planning a move to bring the Georgian international to Anfield before the transfer window closes.
Napoli has reportedly set Kvaratskhelia’s price at £70 million, and rumors are growing that the winger could leave the club this summer. The 23-year-old played in a central role during Napoli’s 3-0 loss to Hellas Verona in their Serie A opener over the weekend.
While Liverpool is keen on signing Kvaratskhelia, they are aware of the challenges involved in convincing Napoli to part with the player. The forward still has three years left on his contract with the Italian club and recently impressed with Georgia at Euro 2024, helping his nation reach the round of 16.
Liverpool’s reported pursuit of Joshua Kimmich has hit a snag. The Reds have been linked with the Bayern Munich midfielder this summer, as they are rumored to be in the market for a No.6 before the window closes.
However, Bayern plans to continue with Kimmich as their starting defensive midfielder. Falk mentioned on Caught Offside that Kimmich has been given a “clean slate” for the season under new manager Vincent Kompany.
