      Croatian players are cold blooded Assasins when they create a chance to score and they will punish every mistake they discover. Herdman and his big mouth just happened to be one of Canadas biggest mistakes.Imagine 4 days preparations for Croatian national team feeding off his stupid comment.

      Instead of disrespecting Croatia before a match. Have the maturity to show full respect for the privilege to have your team test their skills at the highest level. If in fact, you believe that your squad have been coached to beat a team of this caliber, you have a lot of learning to do. I enjoyed watching Canada make it to the WC. I hope these young players don't get discouraged, but understand its a growing experience. Respect.

      Its funny to me how a lot of people think we got offended by what the Canadian coach said (according to a lot of comments).
      We actually laughed about what he said…also because he is English xD
      But when you do trash talking than you also have to back it up. And everything our players say or even we fan is more makin fun of what was said…like in your face Herdman.

      Congratulations to Croatia from this Canadian. Herdman ends up with a bit of egg on his face but his comments are not why we lost. He is a great coach for us. The whole team can learn from this experience. Croatia is a big time European football power. Canada is not at that level. Maybe one day but not now for sure.

      Most of us fans are just happy to be in the World Cup. We are super excited to be in the conversation ! Nobody ever talked about Canadian Football before! Cheers and good luck!

      Incredible how much rage one comment from the manager of a relatively insignificant team was able to generate. Especially when that comment wasn't meant for anybody other than his own players.

      STOP THIS BS GUYS. CANADA IS THIRD CLASS TEAM. IF THEY PLAYED IN EUROPE ,THIS TEAM WOULD NEVER EVER BE IN THE WORLD CUP. CROATIA IS TOP WORLD CLASS TEAM. GET GRIP GUYS PLS

      If our performance against Belgium and Herdman’s comments made Croatia step-up and not treat Canada like a sure-win tells me how far we’ve come under him. Now to improve to the point where we can beat top-tier European teams!

      Irrespective of the coach's comments, my thoughts on the game are that Canada's team has stamina, but tactic was nonexistent.
      We saw uncontrolled chaos (switching formations at random) and a lot of running with a ball, instead of passing the ball to do the running instead.
      More time with the chalkboard and less on cardio would probably yield better result.

      It's actually funny how us Croatian fans mostly didn't care about what the coach said. We actually wanted to score as mucha as possible against Borjan since Croatians hate him because of the idiotic things he said about our country. Also Kramaric never said that at the press lol

      Want to hear something funny:
      I was watching the game with my friends back here in Canada. I remember when our captain (Hutchinson) in the game got a tampon put up his nose due to it bleeding. Remember this? The tampon string was dangling from his face during the game. All I said was

      Me: “wow, that’s awkward.”
      Wife: “It makes sense”
      Me”: I agree. But the string is dangling from his face. I’d feel like I’d lose some dignity playing like this. Cut the string.”
      Wife: “Thats offensive towards women”
      Me: “How? The men’s national team is playing. This isn’t about women?

      This is the problem in Canada. We want to move forward with the men’s national team. The women are wanting equal pay in sports. When I’m watching the men play, I’m having a conversation about women rights. Our country doesn’t deserve to move forward in the men’s national football team program

      By the way, I am Polish Canadian. All the best to Croatia.

      It was a foolish statement by Canada's manager, Canada has done well to qualify but a good manager knows you never give the opposition a reason to get angry, anybody who follows world football knows that Croatia has a very talented squad and Herdman should have known better

      You guys know that there is no such thing as the "mens world cup" right? There are no such things as "mens sports" that are exclusive to men. If you can play you're included.. no matter what gender you are. Womens sports are the sports of lesser athletes which are exclusive to lesser athletes.

      Herdman showed he was overwhelmed with the task of managing at World Cup level. He's CONCACAF standard max. Time to get some WC caliber management in place for 2026

      I watched Canada's 2 matches and I was 100% sure Herdman is naive, stupid, and abusing his squad into failure.

      I also felt like he was way too simple in his game plan it felt like a Women team mentality, and that he's ignorant and arrogant.

      I swear I didn't know he coached Women before today, and I didn't know he was trash talking Croatia like that, and I didn't know he didn't shake the other coach's hand when he was humbled which makes it even worse imo.

      Bro, I should do something with this power I have seriously 😂😂😂
