Hendson and Foden was non existent in the France game. England keep overrating him on the wing where he underperforms for England because of southgates style
Maddison has just joined the squad and is far down the pecking order. Sterling, Mount, Rashford, Foden, Saka and Grealish are all ahead of him. Mount joined the fame and won a penalty. He was also injured for at least the week. I don’t know what everyone is complaining about.
There was a glaring lack of creativity in Southgate's starting line-up this World Cup.
The distribution from and service to attacking England players from midfield was woeful.
Playing James Maddison as a number 10 is the obvious solution moving forward.
Absolutely bang on. Kane good on ball, no pace, ok let him drop deep. Rash stretching defence wit his pace, Saka doin his magic. 70m we losing tell Kane do not leave the box and get Trent whip it in, u cannot have that much attacking quality and don't utilize it when its last orders.

Talking about the England/Southgate/team selection/tactics/substitutions and game management issues……….
Gareth has done a lot for the squad/team and whatever else surrounds them, he really has, but……..and its a big BUT….. his lack of imagination tactical nous and ability to make the right decisions has cost us important games.
In my honest opinion, I think he NEEDS TO STEP DOWN BEFORE THE EUROS STARTS
Southgate won't play him. He picks his favourites which aren't good enough to get wins against good teams. He is tactically inept. If he remains as england manager then a there will be a wasted generation of England talent all because of that bottlejob.
pace isn't the solution, its football not the 100 meter dash
This is the biggest and only criticism I have of Southgate he is reluctant to play with a genuine playmaker like a Grealish or Madison and opts for the likes of Mount in his midfield, England would have better chance of controlling games and getting the best out of Kane and wingers like Saka if they had a proper playmaker that could pick out runners and keep things ticking along.
Yer 4231 worked so well against Iran. Why was it dropped.
Rashford and Maddison would have been great
Rashford has to be playing as much as possible.

Not just play more, he should start. It should be rice, Bellingham and Maddison as the midfielders. Maddison playing also just shifts kane up as a proper striker.
Of Ofcourse,instead of Grealish,M.Antonio would bring something to the table.Imagine throwing in Antonio against the france defender when England struggled to score from open play and Maddision on the edge of the box.
