      You didn't talk about the 2nd half where Barça was much better at pressing. And when Pedri came on Barcelona totally controlled the match

      Here we see the difference between the prem and la Liga. Barca in attack on the wings resemble arsenal, with the right intricacies and left directness. But the difference is the way the opposition team handles the left flank, not dropping deep to protect, thus losing. Whereas in Arsenal's case the opposition tend to go into low block to avoid that space down the left

      You always get everything spot on, I really enjoyed the analysis too. I feel like the main reason why Flick wanted the wingers to press the centre backs was because of Lewandowski. Cox he doesn't have the legs anymore to press the entire 90 minutes but the problem is against big teams with quality players it can hurt them a lot but this is the first game and am sure Flick will make some tweaks and one thing that probably flew under the radar was that Barcelona didn't look really vulnerable on the counter and also Valencia didn't and couldn't play through their midfield directly with a pass or two compared to other seasons especially last season. This was because of the way they compacted the middle which forced Valencia to play wide. TOP TIER ANALYSIS

      Those saying its just his first match and bla bla bla. Flick is not a new person in this business, he is one of the only two managers to win a sextuple and what even makes it ridiculous is that it was his first season and he was appointed to be an interim manager. If you know better create your own channel. I don't understand all this hate. Quality analysis from FMS. Keep it up

      I think in the 2nd half, flick fixed the problem and went back to his usual pressing style. The 1st half was bad because he changed his pressing considering Lewandowskis age and he wanted the wingers to apply more oressure. 2nd half, Lewandowski was more involved in pressing and i dont remember any significant opportunity that Valencia had in 2nd half and barca could have easily scired anither 2 goals

      I think if fermin lopez were there with his intelligence,exploiting spaces abilities and better finish instead of casado this match would end 3 or 4 -1 but also too vulnerable defensively but in the second half Barcelona were better in pressing

      Obviously the game looked messy and chaotic..kinda gave me this feeling of strangers coming together and trying to figure things out..doesnt look smooth at all..Flick can do better as he is a genius.. watching thag Bayern team and this Barca team isnt impressive at all..well the team night grow and get better with the return of some first team players

      I actually think barça press was so good, eventhough the shape was risky but they were actually effective most of the time they also have 60+% in possesion, this could be a pure domination if barça was good on the second ball and did less mistakes when they had possesion

      The press seems good. But I don’t see where all the goals are going to come from. Lewandoski will get his 20, but we need another who gets 20 in the league if we are going to win titles.
