Onana adds the physical power and aerial dominance Emery’s lacked at times last season.

This is a squad with a good bench! If we were to add Jaka Bijol we would virtually have a solid impenetrable defence. Emery suffered because of injuries last season. I believe that Emery wants 2 or 3 players that can come on and fit in seamlessly and possibly make a dramatic difference. I mighty be wrong but they seem to be heading in this direction? Plus we have some good players returning to the squad too? All looking good mate!! CL next year anyone? Would you bet against us? As someone once famously said UTMV!

I remember seeing him in the draw at Everton and thinking what a big, imposing, intimidating character. Absolutely love this signing. Im seeing this like Onana and hopefully Beier in as a striker offset by a hefty fee we accept for Diaby.
Kind if feels like the Luiz deal in a sense.
Now we offload Duran, Dendoncker, Moreno (possibly one or two others) and we sre in mighty shape.
Im just a little worried that the vast amount of new faces wil take time to acclimatise to Unai's standards and style…

Love the Onana link! Guy's a beast 6'5, great in the air, excellent tackler and quick too. Not a replacement for Doug- rather backup for Kamara. Defensively excellent, and was the best player in the Belgian side at the Euros. Philogene coming back is a good backup for Bailey. Kid has a great future too. Building a great squad.
